Bradley Fay won first prize for poultry judging while Sterling Macftae came first in the livestock judging. Able Seaman. Vincent Buchanan son of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Buch- anan, Eldon, died on Friday even- lug, one hour after admission to the Pugwash Red Cross Hospital at Pugwlsh, N. S., from injuries re- ceived when it truck in which lie was travelling with Able Seaman Donald Livingston. Hopefield, crashed into a tree when it failed to make a sharp turn in the high- way. The two sailors were making the trip to the Island for a visit with their parents when the accident oc- curred about 6 pm. Both were stationed at Halifax and it is re- ported that the vehicle in which they were driving belonged to Liv- ingstone who was admitted to the same hospital where he was treated for injuries to the face and head. Four Urbanvllie school children who spent .-i rainy night lost in the woods were found early Sat- urday morning by searchers deep in the woods about three-quarters of a mile from Wellington. Although wet and cold and A bit hungry, they suffered no other ill effects from their experience. and at the time of their discovery were following the sound of the fire siren at Wellington which had been kept going to serve as a directional guide, both for the lost children, and for the men who took part in the search. When overtaken by rain and darkness the two boys built a make- shift shelter of bows under which the four children spent the night. ' An Alternative to the present Potato Marketing scheme was pro- posed last night by the Potato Dealers Association at a meeting held in Summerslde. The sugges- tion was Advanced in the event that the November 10 plebiscite indicated the growers did not wish continuance of the present Board. The alternative proposes incor- poration of the Potato Dealers Association and the foi-i-nation of A Province-wide organization of the growers. It is further pro- posed that A new Potato Board for the Province be formed from the executives of both groups with the growers providing the larger num- ber. A Royal Winter Fair champion of two years Age. -The hearing of two fisheries cases was continued in county magistrates court in Summcrside last evening before Magistrate R. S. Hinton.
