A customer hav- ing imbibed rather freely in the saloon of a fun-loving German named Holme, fell asleep in achair. He hada magnificent beard reach- ing nearly to his waist. Holme suggested to some of his cronies that the best joke of the season wonld be to cut the beard off. MARRIED. On the morning of the 15th of April last, at St. Mark’s Church, Hammonton, New Jersey, Mr. William M. Stewart, eldest son of the late Rev. Wm. Stewart, formerly of Cherry Valley, Prince Edward Island, to Miss Lila Millar. ‘The bride, attired in a rich brown ottoman silk, with large boquet of white roses, leoked very handsome and distinguished.
