The men will probably be sent out of the Province. 1 SERIOUS FIRE-The farm dwell- in! of Mr. Ernest MacLeod of Ver- non River was totally destroyed .by fire on Friday afternoon which broke out about two o'clock. There was no one in the house at the time. Mr. MacLeod and Mr. Roderick Fras- er being engaged in a workshop near by. Their attention was directed to the house by the barking of the dog and they saw smoke issuing from the rcof.. The fire had made such headway before being discovered that despite the efforts of the neigh- bors who hastily gathered, noihing could be done to save the building, which was valued nt about two thous and dollars and on which there was but little insurance.
