Fort Augustus on Wednesday morning August 20th at 8:30 when Theresa Mary, daughter at the late John T. and the late Mary Elizabeth Garland of Tar- antum, became the bride of Thomas Joseph, son of the late Thomas and the late Mary Mo- Naliy of Tracadie. The ceremony was performed by Rev. T. P. Butler. who also celebrated the Nuptial Mass. The bride looked very charm- ing in a becoming floor length gown of white nylon net over taffeta. her fingertip veil held In place by a wreath of oranize blos- soms. and she carried a bouquet of red roses. She was attended by her cou- sin. Miss Elizabeth McGaughey. who was attired in a floor length gown of blue net over taffeta. with matching headdress and mitts and carried a bouquet of pink and yellow roses. The groom was attended by his nephew. Mr. Leigh McNaIly of Charlottetown. During the Mass appropriate hymns were sung by Mrs. J. J. Mclnnls. who also played the wedding march. Following the ceremony a re- ception and breakfast was held at Sandy's Restauran t. Marsh- field. where upwards of one hundred guests had assembled. The toast to the bride was pro- posed by Rev. T. The day was pleasantly" spent In dancing until 5 o'clock when the happy couple left amidst a host of well-wishers on a honey- moon trip through the Maritimes. The bride's gift to the groom was a cigarette lighter, to her bridesmaid a pearl rosary and case and' the gift to the groomsman was a billlold.
