COPUS (Canadian Organiza- tion of Part-time University Stu- dents) was formed in 1977 in re- sponse to the needs and concerns of part time university students across Canada. Through our network of student associations and contacts, we are constantly working toward issues relating to continuing post-secondary edu- cation. As of 1989 we are invit- ing community colleges to con- sider membership in COPUS. The objectives of this year’s Atlantic Conference are as fol- lows: . — to raise awareness of the barriers continuing education at the post-secondary level; a -to promote student organi- zations as a means of removing these barriers; — to provide some motiva- tional and practical help. * come top attend any or all of the activities surrounding the confer- ence to learn about issues: relat- ms } All MAPUS memijerdaze wel-__.
