For the upcoming back-to-school season, With fall just around the corner, StyleFeeders have been scouring the Web for the latest styles and uncovered what fashions are sure to make it from the runway and into your closet this September. 1. Retro-glam will reign supreme. Structured jackets -- think Doris Day-- and classic fabrics like tweed or plaid will be the strongest fashion influences. 2. Boots and tights are a winning combina- tion. Stretch. your summer wardrobe by pair- ing your favorite boots with solid, bright-col- ored tights. 3. 2008 going on 1970. For a more laidback retro feel, the 70's hippie look will re-emerge. Look for wide-leg jeans, solid-colored pea coats and chunky flats or platform heels. 4. Black and grey should dominate. Mix in neutrals from the brown family along with some red, orange, navy, cobalt or plum for a splash of color. 5. Form-fitting cuts make a big comeback. Look for more fitted and form-fitting cuts because once September hits, it'll be time to put away those billowing summer tops. 6. Scarves, scarves, scarves! Fall season sta- ples for any wardrobe, summer scarves will bulk up slightly and dominate the fall season leading into winter. 7. Sweaters with a twist. Sweater dresses -- with and without a turtleneck -- will make a big splash once the chilly fall air rolls around. 8. Back to baskets. Basket weaving patterns will appear in everything from dresses to boots. 9. Traditional accessories are in. Native American-inspired and turquoise jewelry will dominate the accessories arena. 10. Flirty and fun. For skirts and dresses, tiers and ruffles add a flirty flavor to any fall outfit.
