Fast TRAVELLING. —Road masters of the United States and Canada who have been holding a convention in Detroit made a flying trip over the Michigan Central Rail- way on thellth. A VALUABLE ANtIMAL.—We learn from the Agriculiurist that a very fine carriage mare was shipped from Summerside last Thursday for Perth Amboy, N. J., by Dr. Wilson, of that city. She is by Hernando, 2891, dam by Island Chief, andis a mare of splendid conformation and finish, is bay, with black points, 164 hands high and weighs 1,200 pounds. A young lad named Cummings against whorn there are two seperate charges of larceny of fruit from orchards, was remanded until to- morrow. - > Neepep ImPROVEMENTS.—A commodious grand stand, capable of comfortably seating a good many people, has been erected at the Summerside Driving Park, just opposite the judges’ stand, says the Agriculturist. An excellent view of the entire track is obtain- able from this stand, which is constructed on an excellent plan, with the intention of pro- viding good seats for all who wish them. Mc- Eachen, Chieftain of the New York Cale- donian Club, has forwarded an elegantly- framed portrait of himself to the Charlotte- town Club, of which he was a member pre- vious to his leaving the Island.
