WANT SEASON EXTENDED.-The
lobster fisherman from Black Point,
near Canoe Cove. to St. Peter’s Island
have petitioned the Government tor an
extension ot ten days of the _lobster
ilshing season. The reasons given for
this demand are the fact that the nea-
son did not open until May 11th and
-also because ot the scarity oi! bait. The
present season as it stands is the
shortest in the history of that section.
