James Paton's & Co he was shown a number of sample silk fend French flannel blouses, the work on which would be extremely difficult to imitate and evidences that careful work coupled with uniformity can only produce such specimens of ladies’ ap- parel. The lady in charge casually ob- served that the samples were imported by the firm in order to show what can really be 'lone by specialists. We understand that those desiring may select goods and have measure taken for a garment which will be made in conformity with any pattern selected by the purchaser. WEDDING BELLS.-Last Tuesday even- ing, August 13th, \Valter H. Ince of Hampton. and Miss Lilla L. Beer, were united in marriage at the home of the bride, De Sable. The ceremony was por- foruied by Rev. G. F. Dawson and Mrs. G. F. Dawson played the wedding march. The entire evening proved to be one of the pleasantest of the season. Fred. M. Ince acted as best man during the ceremony, and Miss Alberta Baer was bridesmaid. The bride looked very pretty in a. dress of cream crepe de chiue trim- med with lace insertion and satin surah ribbon and carried a bouquet of white flowers. The house was beautifully decorated for the occnsion with aspara- gus vine, intertwined wltti ever-lastings, while cut flowers and ferns were in pro- fusion.
