Wil- ired and Rita Dunphy. After celebrating High Mass. Father Dunphy proceeded to the station Social Centre where his numerous friends had planned an Interesting evening in his honour. BORN CHERRY VALLEY Wilfred Dunphy was born on the 17th of Ausust. 1904 in CJheri-Iy yol- TWEN-FIVE YEARS OF PRIESTH During the next two years he real- ly learned rbout travelling; Sixty- cne Base. Seventy-six base. Thir- ty-nine Wing. Nine Personnel Dis- tribution Centre. in time, Father Dunphy return- ed to Canada. spent a short time at number One Repair Depot and eventually was transierred to No. 6 RD in January 1946. On the first of October 1946 Father Dunphy was taken on strength of the RCAF as I Squadron Leader. On the move again in Oct. 1946. he was trans- ferred to Eastern Air Command in Halifax. In July 1947. Si. Dun- phy was transferred from Eastern Air Command to Central Air Com- mand now known as Training Command Headquarters. On the 15th of Oct. 1950. his un- tiring efforts were rewarded by EASTERN GUARDIAN S J the RCAF. when he was pro- moted to the rank of Wing Com- mande . His services have been recognized by these honours and awards: Canadian Forces Decor- ation, France and Germany Star. Defence Medal.
