MR. SAMUEL J. LEARD.
There passed away at Plsquld on Sat
tirday evening, very suddenly. Mr.
Samuel J. Leard for many years pro-
prietor of the mills hearing its name
at the head of the Pisquld River. Hn
was confined to his hed for one day
and had medical attention but no lhou~
ght of serious complications was anti-
llfe we are in death, and at 8 .p. m.
whilst talking to his wife the call
came and in o few minutes ho had
kind father and a generous lienrted
neighbour and friend of all his place
will he hard to fill,
The funeral was held on Tuesday
morning at 10 i1. nl.. His pastor; Rev.
F. W. Sawdon-conducting the services
at the house and the grave to which
place the remains were followed by ii
large number of_peoplo. The pall-
bearers were his lo`ur brothers, Mr.
Frank Gates oi North River and Mr.
McLure.
Mr. Leard was the father of a large
family to whom and his widow in their
bereaveinmlt we extend our sympathy.
