Hunter River. P.E.I.. fell asleep in her Dear Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at 7.30 A. M. on Dec. lath, in the Lenox Hill Hospital. Park Ave.. and 76th St. New York City. A service was con- ducted in the Funeral Parlour on the 13th at 8 P. M. by Evangelist Ruth Cutcomp. The Evangelist emphasized, the great need for each person to read the Holy Bible as God's road map in Heaven. She read and talked from the Holy Scriptures about the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven appearing efore God for us as our Great High Priest. And about Him who was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the sec- ond time without sin unto salva- tion. Having put Satan under His Feet. Evangelist Cutcomp also stressed the Scripture concerning those who neglect and refuse to be saved. which Scripture is: It is appointed unto man once to die and after this the Judgment." Hebrews, Chapter 9. Rev. L. W. smldt, sang a beautiful hymn: to face with Christ my Saviour; Face to face how can it be. When with rapture I behold Him. Jesus Christ Who died for me. "Face Face to face shall I behold l-lim; Far beyond the starry sky; Face to face in all His Glory; I shall see Him by and by." In the morning at 9.30 on the 9th, the funeral service was con- ducted by Rev. David Axclson, Pastor of the Rock Church. New York City. Mr. Axelson read sev- eral comforting scriptures from God's precious Book. Leaning on saint John. 12:25 and 26. Job, 19: 25. Ki. Psalm 17:15. Jesus said unto her: I am the Resurrection and the Life: he that bells-vebh in Me though he were dead. yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believcst than this? Here Pastor Axelson emphasized the very soon Coming of The Lord Jesus Christ for all who will love His Appear- ing. Pastor Axelson sang it special favorite hymn of the departed Child of God: MEET ME THERE "On the happy. golden shore. Where the faithful part no more, When the storms of life are o'er. Meet me there; Where the night dissolves away Into pure and perfect day, I am going home to stay. Meet me there. Here our forrdest hopes are vain. Dearest links are rent in twain; But in Heaven no throb of pain Meet me there; By the River sparkling bright In the city of delight, Where our faith is lost in sight. Meet me there. Where the harps of angels rlnvg, And the blest forever sing, In the palace of the King; Meet me there; Where in sweet communion blend Heart with heart and friend with friend, In the world that never shall end. Meet me there. Meet me there. Meet me there. Where the tree of life is blooming: Meet me there; When the storms of life are o'er. On the happy. golden shore. Where the faithful part no more Meet me there." Again the anointed servant of God comforted with the Scripture. "For I Know that my Redeemer liveth. and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms des- troy this body, yet in my flesh shall 1 see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold. and not another. Then in connection with the Scripture: tilts for me I will behold Thy face in righteousness. I shall be satisned. when I awake in Thy Likeness." Pastor Axelsorl then sang: Face to face. 0 blissful moment! Face to face, to see and know; Face to face with my Redeemer, Jesus Christ who loves me so!” Interment was in the Ferncliff Cemetery, N. Y.. beside her hus- band who died 17 years ago. A short service was conducted at the grave, which was covered with a blanket of grass and many beauti- ful flowers. Ths departed leaves three sons to mourn the loss of a faithful and tender hearted Mother: Henry and Edward in New York City; and Albert with whom she lived at Kenozo Lake. N. Y.
