It is famed for its wide and shaded streets, its many pleasant drives, the principal of which is the new Park Boulevard, its attractive surroundings, pure water, and clear, cool and bracing air. It is widely known as one of the_ healthiest cities in Canada. It has two hospitals, many churches and alarge and elegant new Opera house. It, also has several fine public buildings and a. market which is one of the chief sources of the citizens’ here. It has one of the l-arg: i and best equipped pork-packing establish ments in the Dominion. On its west side is Victoria Park-a favorite summer re- sort-while on the east are the magnifi- cent new Exhibition Buildings and Driv- ing Park.
