They are well known to the far- mers of this province by reason of the deservedly popular Hurdle Sprayer, but this year they wish to calhattention to their new potato digger, which they are featuring for the first time on the Island. Conditions in this province are such as to have precluded, up to the present, the satisfactory operation of most types of digger. It is claim- ed, however, that the Hardie Rotary Digger solves the problem. The exhibit of these machines has attracted much attention, and has caused considerable comment among the growers who have seen Other features of Messrs. Gordon Ives, Provincial representative of Durant Motors of Canada, Ltd. exhibits this year a splendid showing of all the differ- known Durant Motor Cars. This exhibit occupies a large and beautifully decorated room located beneath the Grand Stand. The room is beautifully trimmed in spruce boughs, and draped with flags and vari-coloured bunting, also boquets of lovely flowers. In the four cylinder line, Messrs. T. G. Ives are showing a convert- ible roadstea. This model is very popular with farmers, mechanics and other people. It is a real utility car, being convertible in a few mo- ments from an attractive passenger car into a light delivery truck. Then comes the four cylinder coupe. a car which is veryuseful ‘for all commercial purposes. This car is shown in the “Lindy" Dove- a new and most attractive colour. Next there is the special two door sedan or coach. shown in the Lake Louise Blue with yellow striping, the Sport Frontenac four door Sedv an, also shown in the Lake Louise Blue, with soft cholocate trimming. Another attractive four cylinder model is the Rideau Sedan. This .car is in “Lindy" blue with yellow mtriping, tthe upholstering being in two tones, dash blue and gray, very nicely blended. Three lines of six cylinder models are shown. the "55", "05" and “'75P .The “55" line is built in Special Coupe, sport Brougham, and Spec- ial Bedan. The most popular and attractive car of the series is a spe- cial "85" sedan. The car is painted in deep maroon, with striping in carmine and yellow. natural wood wheels, upholstering gray mohair plush. On this model is used "Glo- lite" headlights. These are adjust- able by the foot being actuated by a push-button between the clutch and brake pedals. The “65" line is built in Sport ' Coupe with rumble seat, Sport Brougham. and Special Sedan. The car is equipped with a "red seal" continental. fifty horse power motor. The “75" line is built in two mod- els~—a Special Sedan, and a Sport Brougham. the latter being equip- fied with six wire wh ls. These cars are eq ipped with a transmission giving four speeds ahead, of course, one in reverse, this being a. form of equipment sup- plied on very few Canadian cars. All Durant Models are equipped with four wheel “Bendhv brakes, and Gabriel Snubbers. The Durant line also includes two series of Rugby trucks, of one ton and one and one half ton capacity, in four and six cylinder models res- pectively. The six cylinder model is equipped with four speed trans- mission, and four wheel Bendix brakes. It is guaranteed to carry a load capacity of one ton at fifty mil- es per hour. These trucks can be bought with chassis only. Chassis and cab, or chassis. cab and stake body, to suit the requirements of the purchaser. ,, Miss Annie L. Hunter. Delightful home-made candies and chocolates are displayed at the booth of Miss Annie L. Hunter, which is situated just to the left of the entrance to the main building. The candies and bon-bons, as all who have eaten them can testify, are products of the highest quality. They are the product, too, of a home industry, prepared as they are at Summerside. They are on sale at the booth. and may be procured also at Johnson 8s Johnson's and Ernest Worth's drug stores, also at the grocery store of A. MacPherson. The booth, which is beautifully decorated in designs of orange and yellow crepe paper, is in charge of Miss Hunter. Perfection Ice Cream. The Central Creamcrles have their usual attractive booth near the cen- tro of the building. Bricks of all flavors and colors. The Jack Frost Kiss and the cones are on sale here. Pretty illustrations showing the dif- ferent methods of serving the pro- duct are attractively presented. The Junior Bed Cross The Junior Bed Cross booth is a most interesting and instructive ex- hibit from the standpoint of that l l l l most important matter-the health and fitness of the community. No- thing is more important than that i as leaf mosaic, spindle root, etc.. are illustrated by living specimens of “ Steel Range, in white enamel finish produced by the merits. SALES the kiddies who will be the men and women of tomorrow, and to whom we will hand the torch to hold aloft after we are gone, should be physi- cally fit to sustain the burden of re- sponsibility for the world, and its work, which will devolve on them more and more as the years roll by. The magic clock is an exhibit which will attract the attention of all the kiddies. You just write your age on a card. put itini the clock. the hands move round to the time which you should go to bed each night. Then there is a scales on which you can flnci Out ycur height and weight. And there is a table of the cutest toys, consisting of fret saw work. Valentines and stuffed anim- als, made by the members of the Junior Red Cross as Christmas gifts. This organization, it should be not- ed, stands for health, service, ‘and lntcmatlonal friendliness. This lat- ter attribute in particular, is well illustrated by a table on which are specimens of the Junior Red Cross Magazine. printed in twenty-two different languages. There is also a table of health lit- crature, of which the general public are invited to make use. These give information on how to keep well. The walls of the booth are cover- ed with attractive posters, illustrat- ing various actlvitles of the Junior Red Cross and the health rules. In this connection all. one is sure, will be interested in the route of the Hcalthland Flyer. The Experimental Farm As ilsual. the Experimental Farm has one of the most interesting and instructive exhibits in the whole building. This year two novelties are presented. Potato diseases. such plants. Then there is a large double pen containing splendid _. clmens of Barred Rock and White Leghorn pullets.
