This contest, spon- sored byh the W.C.T.U., took place Marc B e t w e e n the presentations, choruses and songs were given by the pupils. Representatives of the Art Society and of the School Im- provement League attended. The guest speaker, Mr. Lloyd Shaw, M.A., Provincial Director of Education, referred to the excel- lent posters, the work of the pu- pils, on display at the back of thc hall. He commended Miss Annie the excellent work accomplished. Among other things, Mr. Shaw urg- ed his voung listeners to adopt high ideals and to work hard :1!- ways toward the fulfillment of the principles thus set 11p. The President of the W.C.T.U., Mrs. W. H. Johnston, presented prizes to a number of the grades.
