Mr. Wm. A. Currie. a director at Community Credit Union. pre- sided at the meeting which was held in I-loward's Restaurant. with about 60 persons in attendance. He said that these Credit Un- ions have loaned more than five million to their membe,rs.vand while many of these people might not be in a position to get loans from chartered banks. the loss of only N7 of 1 percent spoke very highly for Credit Union members and the officers thev had elected.
