The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Marshall Hughes and the late Marshall Hughes of Freetown and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Clow of Emer- al Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party motored to Birch Hill Tourist Home, Summcrside. where dinner wns served to about forty guests. The tables were de- corated with cut flowers and lighted candles and the bride's table was centred with fl beauti- ful three tier wedding cake topped with fl miniature bride and groom. When all had par- taken of the bountiful repnst Mr. John A. Smith acted as chairman and in a few well chosen words called on Father Murray to make a toast to the bride and groom. Before proposing the toast Fu- ther Murray congratulated the bride and groom and also their pare ta on the happy occasion. The hairman then called on sev- eral other guests who responded all speaking very highly of both the bride and groom. The groom then very fittingly responded to the toast. Afterwards the happy couple left on a short honeymoon trip through the Marltimes. On their return they were tend- ered a reception In the home of the groom's parents where friends and neighbors front sur- rounding distrlcts gathered to congratulate the young couple. An address was read by Mr. Lloyd McCourt and a substantial sum of money presented to them by Mr. Harold McCnurt on hcliulf of those present.
