The finance committee for the Canadian Nature Conference is fledging and about to start fund raising programs, to help off- set some of the Conference costs. Some of the ideas we have to date, are a Bird—a-thon in the spring, an a canvassing of local businesses for donations of goods and or money. Unusual Winter Birds Around The Dunk River Winter on P.E.I. is not usually not associated with good bird watching; in that most of our birds migrate to warmer climates. But this winter, bird watching has provided me with a number of surprises. Along with common winter birds such as Chickadees, Horned Larks and Snow Buntings, I have seen some unusual birds, as well as hearing about them, for the Dunk River area.
