A NARROW escape from what might have been a serious accident happened in our harbour, shortly before9 o’olock last night. While a sail boat containing two men and three ladies was coming from Cape Tormentine, they were run into by the S. S. City of Ghent, which was on her way out of port. Fortunately the Captain of the steamer had seen the dangerous position of the boat and blow the whistle and stopped the engine just in time to avoid the danger.
