The train from here, witha snow plough attached, had resched Murray’s, near Port Elgin, when the plough caught ;on the ice which had formed over the \track. The locomotive went completely {through the plough, making a total wreck of it. The locomotive was derailed and considerably damaged. Temporary repairs were made, and the train succeeded in getting back to Sackville last night. Shipping Disasters. New York, Feb. 7. The British schooner Reporter, which left New York on January 22 with a cargo of pork for St. John, N. B., is ashore off Brewster’s Island, and is half filled with water. Crow safe. The schooners Mary M. Story, of Glou- cester, Mass., and the Nesklama, of Locke- port, N.S., are beth thought to be lost. Both vessels sailed for the Grand Banks about seven weeks ago.
