Pastures are fair to good, with’ moisture required in some areas. The apple crop is promising. In Prince Edward Is- land grains are in satisfactory condition. A good hay crop is be- ing harvested. Potatoes promise a below average yield. Pastures are good. PROVINCE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA Recent heavy rains havevdelayed the harvest and caused some dam- age to the hay and tomato crops. Hail has occurred in the Okanagan Valley but the extent and damage are said to be slight. Grain crops are ripening and indicate a good yield. All roots and vegetables are a good crop and are moving to market in fair volume. Tree fruits are sizing normally, and the foi- lowing yields are now indicated: apples and pears, 90% of average; peaches and apricots, 40%, plums and prunes, 15%. Pasturage on the mainland is good and water for irrigation is plentiful. A new governor of a southern state gave an elaborate reception at the executive mansion, foliowifil his inauguration.
