Accidents to trains, rolling stock, permanent way, etc., caused the death of 12 persons and injury to B54 persons. Of the 12 who lost their lives G were passengers and 4 servants oi com- panies. Oi the 854 persons injured 732 were passengers, 110 servants oi companies, and 12 belonged to nei- ther oi these classes. In 1901, 11 persons were killed and 637 injured. but 1901 was noteworthy for tha fact that in this year train accidents did not cause the death oi a. single person. Of the 641 pc-1-sons killed and 2,094 injured by accidents from causes other than accidents to trains, rolling stock, permanent way, etc., of the 135 i.iilt=d nnri 1.- 914 of the injurt-d wr-rc passengers.
