The Pictou United Church choir was in attendance and led the singing, accompanied by Anderson Heighten on the piano accordion. The hymns sung were, "Softly and Tenderly" and “Safe in the Arms , of Jesus." The pail bearers were Archie Murray, James MacDonald and Al- bert, Lloyd, Lyman and Allison Mackenzie, cousins of the family. Interment was at Waterside ceme- tery.
