the Christian churches ot the United
States toward" the subjects of Hawaii,
Cuba, Porto Rico and the Phillipines,
whom recent events had added to the
United States. The writer of the paper
very forcibly urged that the duty of
sending missions to these people was
increased by the fact of their having
become fellow-citizens, and further en-
forced by the fact that the United States
is now the richest nation on earth.
Wealth and opportunity made the
clutyobligatory. Space will not per-
mit reprodneing this excellent paper as
riquestcd. but the following is the con-
cluding passage; -‘We have the mis-
sionaries to go; we have the money to
send them; let us pray God to give us-
church and state-the apocalyptic visiop
