a Er Beaconsfield and Prophecy. tel Lord Beaconsfield and the British protectorate he has just established over Asiatic Turkey are the subject of a note sent to the Sun by a young man who has been studying yesterday’s news. The substance of the young man’s speculations may be presented thus; Beaconsfield is a Jew; Beaconsfield has negotiated the new protectorate ; Syria, io which Palestine and Jerusalem are located, is one of the Turkish provinces that are placed under the British protectorate; the Governors of the Turkish provinces are to be ap- pointed with the approval of the British Government, of which Beaconsfield is the Premier; the appointment of the Government of Syria, in which are Pal- estine and Jerusalem, will be uod r the contro! of Beaconsfield : Beaconsfield will therefore, be the ruling power at Jer usalem over ancient Palestine; he will place a Jew in the office of Governor ; the Jews wiil again rise to power at the seat of their ancient glory; the laws of Moses and the old Jewish system will be restored ; and thus we may discover the key to Beaconsfield’s Eastern policy, and behold the consumation of his Jewish ambition. —NV. JOHN BELL. Kent St., July 15—3w sat tuth patmwf THIS DISCOVERY is the result of aseries of Scientific Experi- ments based upon the theory tliat ‘‘ tor the successful cure of Wasting Diseases, the ner vous system must be made vigorous and healthy.” One of the first symptoms of disease affect- ing either the Liver, Lungs, Heart, Stomach, or Genital Organs, is a loss of nervous power. This is followed by muscular relaxation, weak- ness, and emaciation of all the organs which depend for health on involuntary muscular action, the weaker suffering first. Now, as the muscles and nerves depend so much upon each other for efficient strength and action, and as the organs they contro depend on both, it becomes an actual neces- sity to treat the nerves and muscles directly, in order to speedily and permanently curel diseases of the above named organs. The inventor, acting upon these ideas, after months of experience, during which time he had ample opportunity for trying the effect of his discovery, became convinced that no other preparation known contained so potent and direct an effect upon the nervous system as his Compound Syrup of Hype- phosphites, and except in cases of actual organic loss, that it would restore patients suffering from those maladies. Amongst the diseases overcome by the use of this malady are the following :— Chronic Constipation, Chronic Dyspepsia, Asthma, Chronic Bronchitis, Consumption, Chronie Diarrheea, Chronic Laryngitis, Melancholy, Nervous Debility FELLOWS’ Compound Syrup of Hypo- phosphites, The power of arresting diseases displ ied Ee Oe ns by this preparation is honorably acknowledged by the medical faculty in every section where it has been introduced ; and the large sale is! the best guarantee of the estimation in which | it is held by the public. This Syrup will cure Pulmonary Consump.- | tion in the fi great reiief and prolong life on the third. will cure Asthma, Bronchitis, Laryngitis, and | coughs. Ch’town, June 27, 1878. pat 4in i~ CC SICUM) iS The Greatest Medical Disecvery since the Creation of Man, or since the Commencement of the Christian Era. There never has been a time when the heal- ing of so many different diseases has been caused by outward application as the present. It is an ee fact that over half of the entire population of the globe resort to the use of ordinary plasters. DR. MELVIN’s CAPpsicuM PoRovUS PLASTERS are acknowledged by all who have used them, to act quicker than any Other plaster they ever before tried, and that one of these plasters will do more real service than a hundred of the ordinary kind. All other plasters are slow of action, and require to be worn continually to effect a cure; but with these it is entirely dif- ferent: the instant one is applied the patient will feel its effect. Physiciansin all ages have thoroughly tested and well know the effect of Capsicum; and it has always been more or less used as a medical agent for an outward application; but it is only of very recent date that its advan- tages in a porous plaster have been discovered. Being, however, convinced of the wonderful eures effected by Dr. MELVIN’S CAPSICUM Porous Puasters, and their superiority over all other plasters, they now actualiy prescribs them, in their practice, for such diseases as rheumatism, = in the side and back, and all such cases as have required the use of plasters orliniment. After you have tried other plas- ters and liniments, and they have failed, and = want a certain cure, ask your druggist for R. MELVIN’s CAPSICUM POROUS PLASTER. You can hardly believe your own convictions of its wonderful effects. Although powerful and quick in its action, you can rely on its safety for the most delicate person to wear, as it is free from lead and other poisonous material commonly used in the manufacture ef ordin- ary plasters. One trial is a sufficient guarantee of its merits, and one plaster will sell hundreds to your friends. Ask your druggist for Dr. MELVIN’s CAPsrI- cuM Porous PLASTER, and take no other; or, on receipt of 25 cents for one, $1 for five, or $2 for a dozen, they will be mailed, post paid, to any address in the United States or Canadas, MANUFACTURED BY THE NOVELTY PLASTER WORKS Lowell, Mass., U.S. A., G.
