The late Mr. Haberlin had just returned lo the manse from eonductinl I pro-Easter Service in his Church when he suffered a heart attack and died. . The deceased was born in Dun- das, P.E.I.. on July 17. 1&8, and was the only son of the late Ed- ward Haberlin and Effie Living- otono. He received his early edu- cation in the Abney School and then went to Mount Allison Uni- nnity. Sackville. N.B.. where he obtained the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Divinity. He later received his Master of Arts degree from Yale Univer- sity. As a minister in The United Church of Canada he served on be Bayfield. New Brunswick. and Hampton. New Brunswick. charg- es. He later held pastoratea in stonington. Oonnecticulit; Plots- burg; Pennsylvania: and Traf- ford. Pennsylvania. He also serv- ed as a Chaplain in the United States Army. About two years ago he suffered a heart attack but was given sufficient strength to carry on the great work to which he had given his life. The departed was highly ed by all his friends and fellow workers. Those who knew him best thought of him always as a 'Christian Gentlemanf His con- victions and high ideals led him to dedicate himself to the service of Christ in the Churdi. Men saw his work and knew that his inner life was strengthened in the se- cret place of God's presence. A man of cheerful disposition. he was always able to see the bright- srr side of life. The breadth of his sympathies. his kindly and cour- ageous faith. made him a loving pastor and a faithful preacher. He will ever be remembered by those men. women and children. who by his ministry were led in- to the Christian Life. and built it up in faith. and hope. and love.
