Andrew‘s Women’s Insti-‘ trite was held at the home of Mrs. george MacKenzie Tuesday even- ing, May 2nd, with nine members and two visitors in attendance. The meeting opened with the reci- ol the Creed and singing the me "Number Nine," followed by the roll call which was answer- ed with hints on how to beautify our school gf-ounds."The minutes of the previous meeting were read,‘ approved and signed by the Pres= ident. Reports of different com- mittees were then given and new ones appointed. A lengthy discus-1 sion then took place on repairlngi and painting the exterior of school and 'lattice fence, cultivating school grounds and planting flowers. The members agreed to meet at the school on Saturday; May 13th, and start to plant the seeds. They also school to raisg money to help them along irl their undertakings The program for the evening consisted ol a solo, "Down in the Canbrlck, by Miss Mary MacDonald; solo, “Home on the Range! by Mr Peter by Misses Mary MacDonald and Winnie Maclntyre Messrs Donald MacDonald and Peter Phalen. A g contest was put on by ~4MacDonald and Winnie Mac Donald and won by Mrs. Wilfred MacDonald. A dainty lunch was then served by the hostess assist ed by Mrs. Arthur MacMillan and Mrs. W. F. Rose.
