On’ index, golds, paced by a strong senior group, were ahead 1% points. Western oils lost around one-third. Base metals dipped more than: one-quarter. McIntyre scored the big win in golds, up 3 at 89%. Campbell Red Lake was up 1 at 11% and Dome added % at 18%. Gains were well scattered among the juniors in a 10-cent range. Uraniums were weak. Algom was hardest hit, off % at 1°'% while Gunnar and_ Consolidated Denison were down %. Senior base metals were easier as Lab- rador dipped -% at 27 and % losses’ went to -International Nickel, Noranda and Steep Rock. Western oils were not active.
