We could tell them exactly what it was like. No,you could use that to get them interested in some kinds of things, but I don't think it would work with this one.(pause) Well? Well? v 'Well, you've been involved in this for longer than I have - you must have more ideas than that. I've got a lot of ideas, the problem is when I really look at them, they aren't that hot. I know. Whatayamean 'you know'!? I mean that I know that it's hard to come up with a good idea.I didn't mean you were dumb. Now,what's the biggest problem we've got? The name. God. So when we bring God into this thing we're gonna write for the paper, maybe the best idea would be to bring him in kinda sneaky-like. Yeah, that's it,sneaky-like. V How about if we don't put God into the title of the '- 3rticle,or in the first few lines of it either? There's always the chance. _ 0.K. then, that is what we will do.We'll sneak God in - O.K.? O.K.And you know what else we should get in there? What? ‘ $ The fact that, everybody who went to it,the ACT week-end I mean, was glad when it was over that they'd spent their week-end that way.Because everybody had a good time. Well I don't know about saying It flat out like that, you know, that everybody had a good time-I don't ' know if they'd believe that. But it's true! Still.... ' You might be right. I think so.Because before I came here this week-end I know I wouldn't have believed it. . Well how about if we just said that there were no complaints? ~ I think we're safe enough with that. Good. 3 ‘ 1 I (pause) I've never been to anything that was anything like that before...and,just before I came in here on Friday afternoon,I was wishing that...that I hadn't told so :any people I Was going to come. Here I was going to spend Friday and Saturday night» with a bunch of religious nuts... Nuts! _ Yeah, that's kinda how I thought of you peeple- And just because you consider yourself one of us now,we're not 'nuts'anymore-is that it?” Yup.You're alright now. ' You know, seriously, you know I feel happy for you, don't you?- that this week-end did so much for you. Yes I do,and I thank you.(pause)How many other ACT- week-ends did you say there was before this one? Six.This was ACT VII. Are they all like this? You mean, the feeling everybody gets for each other? Yeah, that's what I mean. Well this is the third one I've been to,and yeah, they've all been like this.Everybody feels close to each ather, and everybody is nice to each other... until the first time I came here,I'd never felt the feelings that I feel here.I think it's because in this kind of atmosphere people aren't afraid of other people - or themselves. - ‘ Humans aren't afraid to be human. That'sa pretty'good way of putting it. I thought so. ' . Why don't we put that in the article for the paper too? Well I'd like to but... Ah, can't we put any good stuff in? The thing is,if the kids think we are exaggerating, like I said before - they'll just turn off.We can say that they'll have a good time, and that there were no g'complaints this time - that's about it.Then we'll just have to hope that's enough to get some of them to come. ; Yeah,to the one in January. That'd make a lot of people who've been working on these Actsggll along pretty happy people.. i ' r Do you think God might like it too?_‘ I think He just might. The End vrP.Moorer
