'Ihe UPEI SUN, '1‘hursday,Feb.9,l978,page 6 cont'd from p.5 the fans in question, but at least they were civilized enough to do so at an unof- fensive decibel level. I can be as foul- tongued and abusive as the next person if adequately provoked but I would not embar- rase my school in front. of students fran another school. And since there were only about five or six people _ being loud and obnoxious it appears that a lot of « other students feel the sane way. Our teams want lots of fan support but I'm sure they don't need attention-seeking, tasteless fans making personal attacks on their opponents and officials. In closing I would just like to say to these guys, I hope I've embarrassed you as much as you embarrassed those of us who heard you. So, smarten up guys and think about U.P.E.I.‘s reputation with other schools. If you want to act greasy, go home and do so in your basement. Heather Boyce Dear Editor, ' (hoe again Student Union Elections are upon us. I sincerely hope that a number of people contest each position. To my knowledge the following 'positicns are qaen: president, vice-president; treasurer, ccrrptroller, oanmmications officer, education representative, four senators, six Arts representatives and two Science representatives. Hopefully there will be enough interested students out of our population of 1500 who will consider running. I also hope that this 7 will be a clean election, none of the mud—slinging of the past, where the candidates will get down to the REAL issues concerning the university students of P.E.I.
