A large attend- ance was on, hand to witness the films which are both interesting and educational. The feature film "Lunenburg Fishermen" which was to have been shown had to be omitted due to a programme change, but. Mr. Mclnnis hoped to be able to have this one next month. The films shown were: Inside The Atom. The Home Town Paper. Lets Get Rid of Rats, Bird Dog Trials, and the Progressive Conservative Convention. The regular monthly meeting of the Ladies Aid of the Murray Harbour North Presbyterian Church was held at the home of Mrs. Elmer Millar with twenty members and one visitor present. The presl-' dent, Mrs. Gavin i-ficken. presided. The meeting opened by singing hymn 417, followed by the Lord's Prayer in unison. The Scripture lesson was read responsiveiy from Matthew chapter l6, followed by the exposition on the lesson given by Mrs. William Kennedy. Mrs. C. J. MacLure then lead in prayer. The roll call was responded to by a verse of scripture. Minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary. Mrs. Willard McClure. One new member was added to the roll. The treasurers report showed a cash balance on hand of ninety-one dollars and ten cents. Mrs. Hazel: MacLure invited the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company prior to returning to Montague. An interesting item is the report ‘that Mr. David Jamieson, Gaspar- eaux. was plowing his land on the ‘6th and 7th of January, during the unusual spring weather ex- isting at that time. Had he h-is plow out on the 20th. he could have continued. for that was also a spring day.
