Allen,an expert pathologist has. on the request of foxmen here, been commissioned b_v the Veterinary Director General to make li thorough survey of all the ranches with a view to discovering an_v causes that ma_v lead to disease and loss. It is of the utmost importance that the survey shall be as complete as possible; it is just as im- portant to know what ranches have been free from dis- ease amd other troubles as it is to know where and how diseases have manifested themselves. Locality, surround- ings, food, general care, etc., all play their _part in the health and fecundity of foxes.
