[Ls] Gnome annas, Lieut. Governor. £800 R15 \V A RI.) . IIEREAS on the night of Wednesday, July last, a certain Carriage Factory or Workshop, the property of Messrs. Daniel Mclx'innon at d John Fraser, situate near the Upper part of Prince Street, in the City of Charlottetown, together with several Dwelling llouses, and other buildings ad- jacent, were consumed by Fire: And whereas, on the morning of Sunday. the Fifteenth day of July last, a Dwelling llouse, situate , on the corner of Pownal and King Street, in Charlottetown afore- said, and formerly owned by the llcirs of the late Samuel Bagnall, Esquire, was consumed by fire, as also very many other Dwelling Houses and Buildings to which the said fire unavoidably extended, by which property to a vast amount in value, belonging to divers of the inhabitants of the said City, was totally destroyed: And whereas, on the night of Saturday last, the Eleventh day of August, instant, a Carriage Factory or Workshop, situate near Upper Queen Street, in the said City, occupied by Mr. John Stewart, was discovered to be on fire, and Would have been eon- sumed had not the said fire been speedily extinguished : And whereas there is great reason to suspect and believe that all or some of the said fires originated by the wilful and felonious act of some evil disposed person or persons at present undiscovered. Now, therefore, in order to the discovery and punishment of the person or persons guilty of all or either of the aforesaid atrocious acts of Incondiarism, I have thought fit, by and with the advice and consent of Her Majesty’s Council, to proclaim, and I do hereby proclaim and offer a reward of Three Hundred Pounds to any person or persons, not the actual party to the act, who will give such information and evidenco as will lead to the discovery, apprehension and conviction of the offender or olfenders, or as will\ lead to the discovery. apprehension and conviction of any person or persons who shall hereafter be guilty of any similar act or acts of Incendiarism.
