Today poultry is taking ts proper
place ami getting the attention it de-
serves as the most proiituble producer
oi' food on the farm. The export of
eggs today totals more than any other
single article of farm produce, and
with the dressed poultry added-which
has recently assumed large propor-
tions-it is estimated will this year
amount to the sum oi’ $1,200,000. Nine
hundred thousand dollars ot' this
would be for eggs, and the balance for
dressed poultry.

the value of eggs exported during thc
year, principally due to the proLluction`
of more winter eggs that sell for
about double the price of those pro-
duced in summer. But,the increased'
value of our export eggs this year isl
very largely due to the co-operativcl
marketing oi' them through the re-
cently established cgg circles.
