In 1885 he opened a tailor- " ing establishment at Cape Traversv in partnership with the late Jack ‘Arnett. In 1887 he‘ removed to Summerside and took a position as head cutter with the late David Stewart, who conducted a men's furnishing and tailor shop in the old Crabbe Block. Shortly after he purchased the business and has since conducted a custom tailoring b ness very successfully until his Q r "ement two years ago. Mr. S -.vart's pleasing personality won -for him many friends and his gen- ial smile and pleasant companion- ship will be much ullssed by his old associates. He was a staunch Presbyterian and a member of the local I. O. O. F. and received the veteran's jewel from that organ- ‘ dzation.
