In the County Court of Qiieen’s County held at ,Clifton on Tuesday last, a suit of interest to many For- ,esters and others was tried. L. U. Fowler entered an action against the High Court of the I. 0. F. for Prince Edward Island on account of certain claims arising in connection with the Foresters’ booth at thc Exhibition last autumn. After hearing the plain- t.ifl’s own evidence, application. was made on behalf of the High Court. for a (nonsuit) to be entered against Mr. Fowler, which was granted. It appears from The Patriot of last evening that the farmers of the Northwest are having an early spring and have decided to go on with their seeding operations. Whe- ther this is last spring or next` spring is not directly stated, and doesli't matter. “Some of the old timers had been holding back fear- ing s return of the blizzards and frosts," but even these have now be- come convinced that spring is there. There is something august about the spring when it falls in the fall in this fashion. _Jack Sowards, of Kingston, Ont., has caught the same black bass three times in succession, and now Cant. Robert Fraser claims that the bass is none other than his own pet fish which he had caught early in the season and had been training for several weeks only suddenly to have it diseplsear-and this at a time when it would come to him near the shore almost any time he signalled to it. “Having trained it for weeks,” he says, “I had come to look upon it almost as el father might a child- for it was one of the most faithful pets I ever had, and would eat worms slid minnows from my hand_” -Montreal Herald-Capt.
