Port Tampa Citizens Pass Resolutions Upholding Her Case. A correspondent writing from Port Tampa, Fia.,esye: ‘The following reso- lutions were offered by Col. T. T. Wright, chairman of the meeting called at Port Tampe, Florida, to exprese sympathy fer our brethers in their fight for the right, May the God of battles te with the Motner- land in this struggle for humanity and justice, and hasten the ‘ime for a anion of the English-speaking family. Following are the resolutions which were adopted, the meeting having been ‘called to express sympathy with Great Britain in ber efforts to carry light to the dark continent’: Nesolved, that the war now waged by Kogland egaiost tyranny and oppres:ion 18 just, and should receive tne sympathy of all who favor England’s demand for the open door to civilized man, regardiese of (reed and watiovality, and his right to travel sod trade unmolested in every section otf the earth Further, that the barbarous treatment of the native Kaffirs, and their enslavement by the Boers, and the constitutional en- actment of their government which ostra- cizes the Catholic, Jew and Unitarian, and prohibits vheir holding office, should re- ceive the condemnation deserved. In the interest, therefore, of enlightened civiliza-~ tion, justice and humanity, we urge Am-~ ericaus throughout the Union to assemble and express sympachy for Eogland in ber efforts toopen Africa’s door to civiliz-d meno; it is further Resolved, that the movement inaugu- rated at Queen Victoria’s birthday cele- bration here in May advecatisg a triple friendly alliance of the United States, Eng- land aud Germany, is endorsed, and shonid receive the hearty support of America, be- lieving that a friendly union of the Father- land, the Motherland and the Daughter lemd, will basten the era of ‘ peace op earth, and gooa wiilto man.’ Carelesspees in girlkood causes the greatest suffering aud unbappiness in afier life. Little irregularities and weaknestes in girle should be looked atier prompt'y and treatement given at once. Mr. Gambier Bolton, the famous anl- mal photographer, says that one of his best studies was of a tiger at the Lon- don zoo, which nearly put an end to his life. Mr. Bolton was inside the barrier which prevents the public from going too close to the cages and was taking a photograph of another tiger, when one he had not noticed came strolling from behind some rocks and made a spring at him. A child called out, and Mr. Bolton darted back just in time. His head was underpeath the focusing cloth when the tiger made 1 yt, and as the camera was lv ruined it is pretty well certain t the photographer’s head would have been smashed to pieces. How- ever, Mr. Bolton paid the animal out, for he egged it on to make a second charge and took a photograph of it ia the act. BRAIN FAG Is the result of Overwork and an Exhausted Nervous System.
