Kinsmen Club of Surnmereide last evening. Mr. Mercer gave an interesting talk on the new de- partments that have recently been added at the High School and be- gan by pointing out that we are living in a changing and shrink- ing world and this demands changes in our educational system. He said that the demands of liv- ing in a democracy also call for special training of future citizens. He said that up to now special attention in preparing courses of study has been given the small percentage of students who are going to go to college. Now at Summerside some consideration is being given the others. He then outlined the additional courses that are given as a commercial course. a trade ten technical course. a home making course. manual training and a music course.
