A good represent- ation from the churches is expected. ` ON the 13th of February at Alexandra, Lot 49 Marti a Stewart relict of the late John McLennan was culled to her heaven- ly home. Mrs McLennan had nearly com- pleted the ninetyfourth year of her age. In early life she saw that because of sin the condemnatibn of death rested upon her, cried toGod for mercy and found peace through believing in Jesus. At that time she united with St. James Presby- terian church, Charlottetown. She lived a consistent christain, loved God’s people while strength permitted, was a. devout worshipper in His sanctuary. The word ofG id was her delight. In cld age she _ studied it by day and in the wakeful ` night hours it was the theme of her meditations. Her joy in God at times was great finding expression in words of praise and thanksgiving. W'hen death drew near she warned and counselled all who dwelt in the house and visited her. She seemed particularly anxious that all should make true preparation to meet God in judg- ment By all who knew her she was truly loved. Such ixpeisicns as ihiee were heard to fall from the lips of her neighbors as they viewed her form in death’s chilly embrace. “She was a good woman"-“A true christian.” “A dear _old lady.” Truly the memory of auch _is blessed. She leaves to feel deeply their loss four sons: John of Boston, Duncan of Moncton, Finlay and Daniel of Alexandra; and three daughters: Mrs. Cousins and Mrs David Jones of Alexandra, and Mrs. Cameron of Boston, also a goodly number of grand-children. Island in cars on sidings ' article illustrated witnengravinge on a between ‘All Canada and “Canadians in Landon.” In the latter team Arthur there, was playing on the wing and did' much tofuphold his team. T`iEi'i"'condition, too, stood them in good stead, and it is seldom that in England so fast, soscientific, or so hard a game is played as that which some hundreds of members of Prlnce’s witnessed. The Rugby players were the better team, audi were also slightly the faster individually, g but the two wing forwards of their' opponents were occasionally brilliant, and at one time in the second half of the’ game seemed as if they might almost bring their side upon terms. The sides were :-All Canadians-R. H. Britton, cover, P. Bauld, left, E V Power, centre : and E. N. Phillips. right. ' F Car Harris, point; C M Howell, cover; D A ul van, right. Bauid scored for the Rugby players within three minutes of I the start and other goals were added in the first half by Phillips and Darling. ' After changing over, the London Cana.-li diana made aareat effort, and' Hingstcn put on two goals and Edgar one. But the < All Canadians out-lastai their opponents, and by goals from Darling and Power, won comfortably by five goals to three. The neat passing and the use of the sides of the rink for “rebound passes,” were striking features of the play of both sides. A NEW DEPARTURE. A New Eiiectual and Convenient Cure For Catarrh. Of Catarrh remedies, there isno cud, but of catarrh cures, there has always been a to relieve, but very few that really cure. The old practice of snuffing salt water through the nose would often relieve, and the washes, douches, powders and en- halers in common use are very little; if ~ any, better than the old fashioned salt water douche. The use of inhalers and the application oi salves, washes and powders to the nose and throat to cure 'catarrh is no more /reasonable than to rub the back to cure kidney disease. Catarrh isjost as much a. blood disease as kidney _trouble or .rheumatism and it can not be cured by local treatment any more than they can be. To cure catarrh whether in the head, throat or stomach an internal antiseptic 'treatment . is necessary to drive the catarrhal poison out of the blood and sys- tem, and the newlcatarrh cure is designed on this plan and the remarkable success of ‘_ used internally, it drives outlcatarrhel in- fection through action upon stomach, liver and bowels. Wm Zimmerman oi St. Joseph, relate an experience with catarrh which is of value to millions of catarrh sufferers everywhere. He says: ‘°I neglected a slight nasal catarrh until it gradually ex- up and do a day’s work I let it run along until my hearing began to fail me and catarrh or lose my position as I was clerk R _ ' Some of my friends recommended an in- haler, another a catarrh salve but: they _ were no good in my case, nor was lacy thing else until I heard of Stuart's Catarrh V Tablets and bought a package at my drug _ store.
