MEETENG OF PRESBYTERY: The Presbytery of this Province met yesterday in the Hall of Zion church, Atter routipe, touching reference was made tothe death of Rev. J. G@. Cameron, | and a committee was appointed to draft a suitable minute, Copies of which are to be sent to the family and parents of the de- é ceased clergyman. The clerk read an acknowledgment of $200 from the estate of the Jate Charles Gregor, Covehesd, which, without instruc- tions, he had disbursed as follows: Foreign missions, $100; home missions, $59; auz- mentation, $50. The Presbyvery endorsed the clerk’s action. The clerk reported from the augmenta- tion committee that ¢2e following sums had been granted: ‘Viguisb, Montrose and Elinadale, $150; Ca.edonia, $100; Tryon, Bonshaw and Hanpten, $300; Murray Harbor Sonth, $75; Woudviile, $80; Dundas, temporarily at a rate of $188 per annum, The Presbytery unanimously resolved to concur in the application made by the Preebytery of Miramichi in its application to have the name of Rey. dgamrs Murray placed on its roll. Mr. J.M. Fisher, convener, read the report of the committee on ‘* Life and Work,” which, after certain emendations, was approved and ordered to be forwarded to the convener of the Assembly’s com- mittee. Mr. E. Gillies was appointed to act as interim moderator of the session of Murray Harbor North. and to declare the pulpit vacant on 23'd inet, Mesore, Spencer and McArthur were ap pointed to examine the session records of the congregation of West Cape, etc., and Messrs. Fisber and Millar the session re- cords of Montrose Mr. J. K. Fraser was appointed interim moderator of the session of Richmond Bay east and west, and Mesers. Fullerton and Millar were appointed a committee to visit the congregations at an early date. The committee appointed to visit Dun- das was also appointed to visit the congregation of Georgetown. Messrs. A.D. McDonald, J. K. Ina family there was a child ill with a virulent type of this disease, and @ sponge was used to swab its throat. Another juvenile member of the family in some manner obtained possession of the swab and was found plaving with it in its mouth. The child, however, did uot contract the disease.
