comet, which has beenanslbtiug the
attention of astronomers during the
lost year, is steadily drawing nearer
to the sun and growing more visible
as it approaches. According to state~
ments by astronomers. the comet will
surpass Jn size and brllllancy all tllose
seen in modern times, and will be -at
its best in the fall. The comet was dis
covered at a great _distance and has
been under telescopic observation for
a year. The astronomers are now
able to line out in its path,- wellup in
the northern sky, but it is nc-l yet
certain that even at its nearest, it will
be visible to the naked eye.
