Further substantial equalization grants will be made. This money will primarily be used to pay Teachers’ Supplements in needy school districts and also to provide a more uniform level of School Services throughout the Province. Further steps will be taken to encourage the removal of the higher grades from one and two room schools, and to ac- commodate those grades in central high schools. " Additional courses will be provided at the Vocational School, and efforts will be made to take vocational short courses into rural areas. Commerce courses will be added in central high schools where practical. Continued efforts will be made to raise the academic and - professional standards of our teachers, and further encour- agement given to young people to enter the teaching pro- fession: Larger grants to school districts to encourage perman- ent fire-proof construction where new schools are required.
