Mr. T. W. L. Prowse in report- ing for a committee appointed at a previous meeting presented a lap whereby the existing road, gust south of Albany would be straightened and approximately 1.2 miles of new road opened up, making ii total distance from A - bany to Carleton of 2.6 miles to be paved, thus shortening the distance between Charlottetown and Borden to approximately 36 miles. A resolution, moved by Mr. R. E. Mutch and seconded by Mr. W A. Stewart was heartily endorsed by the meeting in which it was recommended that the Board and retail merchants get strongly be- hind the movement in an effort to have the suggested link opened up and paved and that the City Council and the Kings County Board or Trade be asked to co- operate in the matter.
