Fail Rally Held Ai iryon —The Central Presbytery Young People's Union held theirsnnual 1311 filly in Tryon United Church on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The theme of the rally was "Growing with the Years." ' The president, Keith Moase pre- sided. Young people from the following local unions were pre- sent: Cavendish, Summerside, 156051121011. Cape Traverse, Rose Valley, Bradalbane. Lot l6, Tryon‘. Freetown and Bedeque. The afternoon session began with s worship service led by Cape Traverse Union, Rev. Leon- ard Bacon welcomed the group to Tryon. The prmldent. introduced the guest speaker, Rev. A. D. MacKenzle, to the group. He told about his work with Young Peo- ple's groups in other parts of Canada and gave a summary of the book “Growing With The Years" and urged all young peo- ple to read this book. The group then divided into two groups for discussion. Two chapters of “Growing With The Years“, were discussed. namely. “In Christian- izing the Social Order" led by Rev. George Goligh and “In Sharing and Sacrifice” icci by Rev. L. M. Mur- ray. Aftcr the discussion groups there was a short business meet- ing. The Resolutions and Nominat- ing committees were appointed and the treasurer gave the fin- ancial report. The evening session began at 7.30 with a sing-song. The local .union reports were then given. Miss Aletha Graham gave e re- port nf the \'.l’.U. camp held at Augustine Cove and Miss Evelyn Bell who attended Maritime Con- ference Young Peoples Summer School gave a report of this school. The report of the resolu- tions Committee was given by Mrs. William Moase and the re- port of the Nominating commit- tee was given by Mlss Geraldine MacLean. The evening worship service was led by the Summerside Young Peoples group. Rev. A. D. MacKenzie gave an inspiring address, the topic of which was "Evangelism of Youth."
