WILLIAM BOYCE on December 20, 1950 there died after a few days illness in the hos- pital at Fort lauderdale, Florida, William Boyce in his eighty-ninth year. Mr. Boyce was born in Mermaid, Prince Edward Island and was the oldest and last surviving member of 3 family of seven children born to the late Valentine Boyce and his wife, Jane Rattray. Most of his life was spent in the United states where he went while a young man. He was a. skill- ed pattern and cabinet maker and he followed this trade all but a few years when he returned to forming at Mermaid, P. E. I. Thirteen years ago he - retired from work and went to Pizmpana Beach, Florida to live. He was a quiet, kind and loyal flriend to those who know him best. His wife was Cirace Hudson of Nova scotia. she pre-deceased him about 17 years ago. He leaves four children. five grandchildren and two great grandchildren to mourn his passing. The children are:- G. Ches- ter of California; Fred and Earl uf'Pornpana Beach. Florida; and Elsie. Mrs. Leslie W. MacDonald. Bunbury. P. E. l. Dec. 20. i950, at the early age of 12 years. Just-three weeks previous in her death Aletdia had said good- bye to friends and loved ones. and left for Montreal with a smile, in all hopes for recovery. And so on the above date a small a-naesetic was given in ef- fort to straighten her knee. but despite the best. medical skill and care. her spirit took its flight to that land where there is no more pain. During her very trying illness which she bore with great courage and patience her ready smile made.for her lasting friends. with young and, old alike. She will be greatly missed by her little play- maics at school, but it it in the home where her loss is most keen- ly felt, as those who knew her best loved her most.
