Mr. Barrett. who had rettredton pension from the Railway in May. 1941. owing to a heart condition. continued to enioy -comparatively good ealth and conducted fann- ing operations until this past win- ter. Early in February he entered the Charlottetown Hospital for treatment, but the hope for re- storation to health was not ef- fected for the Divine Master had marked his time. and so. return- ing home and surrouided by those who meant most to him in life. Ml loving soul went forth to meet its Creator on the above mentioned date. Mr. Barrett was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Barrett and was born at Glenroy on May '1st, 1878. He entered the service of the C.N.R.. in 1901. as section- man. remained in their employ for forty years and at the time of his retirement was acting foreman. Sustained and fortified by the last rites of the Holy Catholic Church, his faith and trust in God was indeed manifest: he leaves behind him an edifying example of Christian living and a memory revered. He was predeceased in 1925 by his first wife, the former Angelina .m..m:--ea--:-T forced his retirement in 1949.
