Tm-3 Dreyfus case formed the subject of an interesting discussion in the schoolroom of_ the First Methodist church last evening. Mr. Full presided. Mr. H. R. Boswell read a highly inter- esting and informing paper on the sub- ject. _after which Messrs. McCready, Newsom, Doull and others spoke. There was a very close attention given to all the speakers. The prevalent impres- sion seemed to be that Dreyfus is prob- ably innocent and in any case was not accorded a fair trial. Ar the regular meeting of the School Board held last evening, the teachers’ reports showed the enrollment for the past month to be 1,400. namely : Prince St. school, 586; Queen’s Square school, 346; \Vest Kent, 468. The percentage of attendance made during the month was 89. The number of cases of tardiness reported was 326; number of truants, 9; number of visits made by teachers to the parents, 183; number of_cases rf corporal punishment. 95; number who fell below average in grading, 111. The department having the highest atendance in Prince St. school was Miss McKiunon`s-94; Queen Square. Miss Halloraus, 93; West Kent, Mr. Millers. 94. Miss llcliinnon, Miss Gregor and Miss Snad- doii iii Prince S; school, did not_;riave one ca-be of tardiiicss; neither did Miss Ashley in West Kent school. The few- est cases of tardiness in Queens Square school was in Miss Feriueseys and Miss lialloraus departments, 13 each.
