Sept. 9. to St. James’ Church, Freetown. One hundred and thirty-five cars, bearing friends from all parts of P. E. Island. left Kelly's Cross church in the pro- cession to Remington. The funeral procession from Kensington was one of the largest even seen here-bear- ing silent witnesses to the solemnlty of the occasion. and respect to the memory of a. dear friend. The funeral oration was delivered by Rev. Dr. W. E. Monaghan. of Seven Mile Bay, who stressed the uncertainty of life and resignation of the Divine Will in an impressive sermon in keeping with the sadness of time occasion, which caused many heads to bow in silent grief and tears. The pail-bearers were six parishioners of Kelly's Cross. viz: James Bradley. Frank Flood. Emmett German. John P. Carragher, John McDonald, Frank ‘Prainor Members of the B. I. S. of Emerald. of which he was a member. attended the fun- eral in dress parade.
