His death re- calls a long, arduous and successful life, a strong personality, a winsome character, and an honorable citizen- ship. Migrating over a century ago from Perthshire, his parents settled in the Maritime Provinces, having been identified with Brudenell, P. E. I., and Richibiucto, N. B., when Cupt. Mclaren was born in 1837.
