THE annual public examination oi the Pisquid West School was held on Friday December 29th in the presence ofa large number of ladies and gentlemen of the District. The pupils were thoroughly examined in the various branches by A. McPherson, assisted by their popular teacher Miss Minnie Duffy. The program consisted ol! reading, writing, English, Geography, recitations, motion and comic songs. The excellent manner in which the pupils acquitted themselves on the occasion was highly creditable to the teacher. -The school room 'was tastefully decorated by the teacher and her pupils. in one corner a tree was visible, laden with the choieest fruit and confectionery, which was distributed by the Indies present to the pupils. Special praise is due the teacher for the satisfactory management of thewhole affair. The examination was brought to a close by all singing “God save the King". Tns annuaiconcertof the children of Grace Church Sunday School took place last evening before a goodly sized audience.
